Jill Mesirov, CIO of the Whitehead/MIT Center for Genome Research, is one of six new members of the scientific advisory board of laboratory product and services company Charles River Laboratories of Wilmington, Mass. Other appointees include Geoffrey Duyk, CSO of Exelixis Pharmaceuticals; Joseph Catino, VP of Research of Bayer; William Hancock, chair in bioanalytical chemistry at the Barnett Institute at Northeastern University; Brian Huber, Vice President of the Biology Division, Drug Discovery, at GlaxoSmith-Kline; and Colin McKerlie, research scientist in the integrative biology program at the Hospital for Sick Children.
