The International Society for Computational Biology has named Janet Thornton and Ewan Birney — both from the European Bioinformatics Institute — as the winners of its 2005 Senior Scientist Accomplishment Award and Overton Prize, respectively. This marks the first time that ISCB has recognized two scientists from the same institute for the awards.
