Hillyard Leaves Axys for Trega Biosciences CIO Post



AN DIEGO--Alan Hillyard, who joined Axys Pharmaceuticals as vice-president of information systems in July, 1999, left the company last month to fill the post of vice-president informatics and chief information officer at Trega Biosciences. Hillyard, who has also served as chief technical officer at Base4 Bioinformatics and as manager of research computing at the Jackson Laboratory, will be responsible for integrating Trega’s information technologies and systems. Trega offers integrated products and services spanning the drug discovery process to the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries.
