Heidelberg University Selects DNAStar Software for NGS Data Analysis

DNAStar said this week that Heidelberg University's Center for Molecular Biology has chosen its Lasergene software suite to meet its next-generation sequence data assembly and analysis needs.

According to a university spokesperson, the agreement "expands the products available to our scientists from solely traditional sequence analysis products to now also include next-gen sequence assembly and analysis genomics products."

The university representative further noted that the expansion is "critical to helping our researchers achieve their short- and long-term scientific objectives.”

Financial details of the arrangement were not disclosed.
