Golden Helix, CloudScientific Ink Chinese Distribution Deal

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Golden Helix today announced that it has entered into a deal in which CloudScientific will distribute the company's analytical services and SNP & Variation Suite software in China.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In a statement, officials from both firms noted the "explosive growth" in genetic research in China, and Andrew Ferrin, executive vice president of business development for Golden Helix, said that his firm has more inquiries from customers in China than any other country, aside from the US and Canada.

Jack Lin, CEO of CloudScientific, added, "Our partnership with Golden Helix will enable CloudScientific to further serve this market, providing exceptional analytical capabilities for genetic research."

CloudScientific is a Chinese firm that offers life science software programs and solutions.
