Accelrys said this week that the German Cancer Research Center has licensed its Contur Electronic Laboratory Notebook to improve collaboration, quality, efficiency, and security for its researchers.
Holgar Haas, head of the center’s IT department, said the institute selected the Contur ELN because of its “ease of use, its proven deployment track record,” and the “support we received from Accelrys” during a two-month pilot.
The ELN will enable the researchers to reduce their use of paper, facilitate information sharing, and protect intellectual property, while reducing the cost of ownership and improving the management and reuse of information, Haas said.
