Genset in Paris has elected Andre Pernet to its board of directors. Pernet’s career includes 26 years at Abbott Laboratories, from which he retired in February 1999 as corporate officer and vice-president, pharmaceutical products research and development. At that post, he led an organization of 2,700 scientists with an annual budget responsibility of $600 million.
