Genome Therapeutics Achieves Milestone in Schering-Plough Research



ALTHAM, Mass.--Genome Therapeutics last month announced that it had reached a milestone in its genomics alliance with Schering-Plough. The genomics company is using its proprietary bioinformatics tools and high-throughput sequencing capacity to identify within a specific chromosomal region candidate genes believed to be involved in the development of asthma. The milestone achievement triggers a payment of an undisclosed amount by Schering to Genome Therapeutics.
