GenoLogics, JMP Collaborate on Data Management Solution

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – GenoLogics said today that it plans to integrate its lab and data management system with a statistical discovery application made by SAS unit JMP Genomics.

Under the collaboration, GenoLogics will integrate the Geneus system with JMP Genomics' statistical discovery tools to offer a system for managing and analyzing large genomic data sets. Researchers may use the integrated solution to generate data sets and to identify important information from long lists of candidate genes or biomarkers.

"The data deluge is a challenge that genomics centers are struggling to overcome," Shannon Conners, a product manager at JMP Genomics, said in a statement. "This solution can help bridge the gap between raw sequence reads and downstream statistical analysis to accelerate scientific discovery."
