GeneTrace Acquires Strata Biosciences, Closes Financing

LAMEDA, Calif.--GeneTrace Systems said it has completed its acquisition of Strata Biosciences, a genomics company with proprietary gene knockout technologies and cell-based assays for gene discovery, drug target identification, and validation. GeneTrace adds these technologies to its integrated Systems Biology platform of genomic, proteomic, and bioinformatic technologies for the discovery of new and more effective human therapeutics. GeneTrace closed a Series B financing in conjunction with the acquisition. The companies have consolidated their business operations at GeneTrace’s facilities here.
