GeneSpring 4.1, GeNet 2.4, Script Editor 1.0, Prophecy ToolKit, AssemblyLIGN, IPI


Silicon Genetics, based in Redwood City, Calif., has released new enterprise versions of its gene expression software products: GeneSpring 4.1 and GeNet 2.4. GeneSpring 4.1 now offers a scripting function that allows for automating complex analysis tasks. The company has also introduced a new module, the Script Editor 1.0, for the automation of data analysis.


Oakland, Calif.-based DoubleTwist has released the third version of its Annotated Human Genome Database. It includes an assembled genome and integration of more than 35 databases onto a genomic scaffold. The company has also released a new version of its Prophecy ToolKit data integration software package.

The latest version of the database is exclusively available for onsite installation through DoubleTwist’s Prophecy tools suite.

Accelrys of San Diego, Calif., has announced a Mac OSX version of its MacVector sequence analysis software. It includes the AssemblyLIGN module for assembling sequence fragments into a consensus sequence that can be imported into MacVector for analysis.
