GeneLinker, GoldToxbank Rat Database 2002, Matrixexpress, Mascot, AIX 5L Unix


Molecular Mining of Raleigh, NC, has released version 2.0 if its GeneLinker Gold gene expression analysis software. In addition to speed and data handling improvements, the company said the release offers new features such as 3D principal components analysis plots, summary statistics, and profile matching.

Molecular Mining licenses GeneLinker Gold in perpetuity to the end user with free software upgrades and tech support for a year.


Phase-1 Molecular Toxicology, based in Santa Fe, NM, said it would launch its Toxbank Rat Database 2002 and version 2.2 of its Matrixexpress analytical software at the company’s annual Advanced Technologies in Toxicology Workshop in Ghent, Belgium, February 6-7, 2002.

Toxbank 2002 includes gene expression data and traditional toxicology data from in vivo dosing experiments. Matrixexpress 2.2 contains new analytical features for analyzing and mining customer data with Toxbank data.


London’s Matrix Science has ported its Mascot protein identification software to IBM’s AIX 5L Unix operating system. The project was a joint effort between Matrix Science and IBM’s Chemistry and Life Sciences Solutions Development Division.
