GeneData Enters Japanese Market via Teijin Systems



ASEL, Switzerland--GeneData, a Swiss bioinformatics company, is entering the Japanese market through a partnership with Teijin Systems Technology, which has been designated GeneData’s local representative in Japan. Teijin, a distributor of scientific software in Japan, will be responsible for promoting GeneData’s software systems for analysis and management of genome, sequence, gene expression, and proteome data. Othmar Pfannes, GeneData’s CEO, said the arrangement will help the company penetrate the "growing Japanese genomics market" and provide bioinformatics support for customers there.
