CHICAGO (GenomeWeb) – Edico Genome is partnering with data aggregator InterSystems to integrate Edico's DRAGEN Clinical Genomics Information System with InterSystems' HealthConnect platform.
The partnership will facilitate bidirectional data exchange between clinical and genomic information systems, the companies said today. This will allow clinicians to order next-generation sequencing tests and view results and analysis through DRAGEN — which stands for Dynamic Read Analysis for Genomics — without leaving their EHR screens.
"Through our partnership with InterSystems, we are able to seamlessly integrate DRAGEN CGIS into the broader healthcare ecosystem day-to-day workflow and operations, enabling patients' genetic and clinical data to be easily reviewed together and potentially leading to richer insights," Edico Genome President and CEO Pieter van Rooyen said in a statement.
"By ensuring seamless connectivity between a patient’s genomic testing and their longitudinal health record, this partnership will give clinicians and patients alike better visibility into their complete health," added Paul Grabscheid, vice president of strategy for Cambridge, Massachusetts-based InterSystems.
