NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) — British informatics firm Eagle Genomics said on Thursday that it has closed a $3.5 million financing round led by the Environmental Technologies Fund.
Eagle said it will use the funding to further develop its software platform, called e[automateddatascientist], which uses artificial intelligence to analyze genomic and microbiomic data at scale, as well as open offices in Paris and New York.
"We are delighted to have secured investment from ETF Partners," Eagle CEO Anthony Finbow said in a statement. "We look forward to expanding our ... team globally to deploy our platform to support our enterprise customers worldwide."
The financing comes about four months after Eagle partnered with Microsoft Genomics on microbiome research.
