NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) - CLC Bio said today that it as signed a bundling agreement with BaseClear, a sequencing services center based in Leiden, the Netherlands.
Under the terms of the agreement, BaseClear will provide all of its sequencing customers with a license for the company's CLC Genomics Workbench for assembly and downstream analysis of next-generation sequencing data. BaseClear is using an Illumina Genome Analyzer II for sequence analysis services.
Bas Reichert, commercial director of BaseClear, said in a statement that the firm had been looking for "a user-friendly solution with a relatively easy learning curve to bundle together with the data."
The partnership between with BaseClear "is the first of many sequencing service centers projected to offer similar services," CLC said.
