IDBS has released ActivityBase XE 7.7, which provides enhanced screening and analysis functionality.

According to the company, the latest release addresses growing assay volumes for high content and multiparametric datasets by processing information up to 50 times faster than the previous version. It also includes new visualizations and third-party integrations that support image-based screening capabilities and faster analysis.


Sapio Sciences has released a new version of Exemplar NGS LIMS, it laboratory information management system for tracking next generation sequencing platform workflows from request through processing and analysis.

Features of the system include pre-built workflows for NGS platforms, instrument integrations with NGS platforms and QC instruments, support for automation via integration with robotic sample preparation platforms, and a graphical executive dashboard for viewing lab activities among other capabilities.


RefSeq 63 is now available from the National Center for Biotechnology Information via FTP.

This release has nearly 50 million records describing 37,371,278 proteins, 5,760,653 RNAs, and sequences from 33,485 different organisms. More details are available in the release statistics and notes.
