Accelrys has released a new version of Symyx Notebook, the company’s enterprise electronic laboratory notebook.

The release includes a new scientific spreadsheet for use in planning, executing, and tracking a wide range of biological experiments as well as project tracking and optimization software.

The Encyclopedia of DNA Elements Data Coordination Center at the University of California, Santa Cruz, has released new data for six tracks and corrections to one track on the hg19 genome browser.

These tracks now include several new experiments, cell lines, and antibodies

A new version of the CySBGN plugin for Cytoscape is available here.

Version 1.1 of the plugin extends Cytoscape features to Systems Biology Graphical Notation diagrams by providing support to import, validate, and export the layout of diagrams stored in SBGN-ML format. It also lets users save, load, query, and validate SBGN-ML files, among other features.

Labkey Software has released LabKey Server 12.2.

The release offers new visualization tools; improved Luminex, Illumina, and ELISpot pipelines; and makes it easier for users to combine flow cytometry results with demographic, clinical, and assay data, among other updates.

LabKey Software also said this week that it is partnering with De Novo Software, which develops and markets FCS Express, a flow cytometry data analysis tool.

The partners plan to work together to allow FCS Express users to import their results into LabKey Server and run management and data integration tools. Full support for these workflows is expected in early 2013.
