Sapio Sciences has released Exemplar LIMS Web Client 1.0, the newest version of its laboratory information management system, electronic lab notebook, and scientific data management solution that lets users manage samples, protocols, assay data, and clinical trials.
This release extends Sapios' system to browser-based devices outside the network boundaries and provides secure access to LIMS data. The tool can be used in most browsers including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari; as well as the iPad 2 and Android tablets.
This week, the Malaysian Genomics Resource Centre Berhad announced that it had made several updates to its free-to-use online bioinformatics analysis tools and reference databases.
Among the updates is the integration of SynaBlast-Mega, a bulk alignment tool, and sequence data from the National Center for Biotechnology Information's GenBank. The integration lets users utilize the fullest set of GenBank DNA and protein sequences and submit up to 10 megabytes of sequence query data at one time.
MGRC has also updated the biological domains in its reference databases to include fungal, bacterial, plant, and invertebrate genomes.
Thomson Reuters and the European Society for Medical Oncology have launched Oncology Professional Resources Online, or OncologyPRO, a scientific information and education portal that’s designed to help oncologists keep up to date with the latest research and clinical information.
The tool offers oncology news, clinical research, biomarker and drug databases, practice guidelines and tools, clinical trial information, and abstracts from more than 110 oncology-relevant journals, among other information.
