Dolomite Bio, Partek to Collaborate on Single-Cell Analysis Pipeline

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Partek, maker of data-analysis software for next-generation sequencing, will work with Dolomite Bio to develop a single-cell analysis pipeline on the Partek Flow software platform, the companies announced today. This, the partners said, will make high-throughput analysis of single-cell RNA available to organizations without a lot of bioinformatics expertise.

The pipeline is intended to help researchers understand genomic expression patterns of single cells, based on data created by Dolomite's Nadia technology for single-cell RNA sequencing. Nadia is a droplet-based microfluidic instrument that can generate as many as 6,000 single-cell libraries per sample in around 15 minutes.

"Partek Flow … delivers the same tools used by bioinformaticians in an easy-to-use and intuitive user interface to make genomic data analysis accessible to all researchers," DJ Meyer, chief operating officer of St. Louis-based Partek said in a statement.

"With the data analysis expertise of Partek, Nadia users will now be able to effortlessly analyze their single-cell data without any prior bioinformatics knowledge," added Heike Fiegler, vice president of biology products for Dolomite Bio, of Royston, England.
