NEW YORK – Bioinformatics firm DNAnexus said Monday that it has inked a partnership with omics data management company Panomics to offer a cloud-based data analysis platform for biopharma customers for biomarker discovery and drug development.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
As part of the collaboration, DNAnexus will integrate its cloud-based Cohort Browser with Panomics’ suite of interactive data analysis tools and advanced analytics to help improve transcriptomics and proteomics data analysis workflows for biomarker discovery and drug repurposing.
The integration will enable biopharma researchers to conduct large-scale, interactive analyses of complex, multimodal datasets in a secure and compliant cloud-based environment, the companies said.
"The combination of our technologies will help researchers conduct real-time analyses that will accelerate drug discovery timelines and make it easier to identify potential repurposing candidates by searching for similar biological signatures," Radu Andrei Tanasa, founder and CEO of New York-based Panomics, said in a statement.
