DNAnexus, Intelliseq Strike Genomic Data Analysis Partnership

NEW YORK — DNAnexus has signed an agreement to add Intelliseq's iFlow automated genome interpretation and reporting tool to its Precision Health Data Cloud data management system, the companies said on Thursday.

Launched in 2021, iFlow is a web-based, software-as-a-service platform for high-throughput next-generation sequencing data analysis for genomic diagnostic applications. DNAnexus' Precision Health Data Cloud is designed for the secure organization, storage, analysis, and sharing of multimodal data.

Joining the technologies will help streamline next-generation sequencing data analysis, from variant calling to clinical interpretation, the companies said. The combined offering will include prebuilt workflows for somatic cancer and hereditary diseases based on Intelliseq's GeneSpect Reporters, as well as custom workflows. Intelliseq's GeneSpect Pharmacogenomics and Polygenic Risk Score Reporters are expected to be added to Precision Health Data Cloud early this year, they added.

Financial and other terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

In mid-2023, Mountain View, California-based DNAnexus struck a deal to integrate software from Swiss biomedical data analysis startup BigOmics Analytics into its precision health data platform. A few months later, Krakow, Poland-based Intelliseq inked an agreement to combine its iFlow engine with OGT's SureSeq NGS portfolio.
