DeCode to Supply Boston Health Care Group with Informatics and Research

REYKJAVIK, Iceland--DeCode Genetics and Partners Health-Care System, founded by the Massachusetts General and Brigham and Women’s hospitals in Boston, Mass., have signed a three-year research agreement to develop bioinformatics and new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to common diseases.

 

Partners and DeCode scientists will form joint research teams to identify and compare disease-causing genes or loci responsible for diseases and look for novel approaches to preventing and treating common diseases. DeCode will provide Partners with healthcare informatics systems resulting from DeCode’s development of its Icelandic Health Sector Database.
