David Fish has left his position as CEO of Cambridge, Mass.-based grid computing firm Avaki to join Polaris Venture Partners, an investor in the company, as entrepreneur-in-residence. Tim Yeaton has been named president and interim CEO and will continue to serve as COO. Fish remains a consultant, but no longer holds a board seat.

Chapel Hill, NC-based ADMETech has tapped Scott Neuville as president and CEO. Neuville was most recently chairman and CEO of iBiomatics, an SAS company that was dismantled in October 2001.

The International Society for Computational Biology has elected six new board members: Steven Brenner of the University of California, Berkeley; Rita Casadio of the University of Bologna, Italy; Roderic Guigo of the Institut Municipal d’Investigacio Medica, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain; Goran Neshich of EMBRAPA Informatica Agropecuaria, Campinas, Brazil; Shoba Ranganathan of the National University of Singapore; and Burkhard Rost of Columbia University, New York.
