Daniel Fischer, Susan Davidson


Daniel Fischer, the coordinator of the bioinformatics track at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Be’er-Sheva, Israel, has been named director of educational programs for the State University of New York at Buffalo’s Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics. Fischer also will serve as a professor in the department of computer science and engineering in the university’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Susan Davidson, interim director of the Center for Bioinformatics at the University of Pennsylvania, and Aydin Tozeren, director of the Integrated Bioinformatics Program at Drexel University, have been selected to lead the Greater Philadelphia Bioinformatics Alliance, a consortium of universities formed to support bioinformatics-related activities in the Philadelphia area.
