NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Danaher has acquired UK-based informatics firm IDBS.
IDBS provides enterprise solutions for scientific data management, analytics, and modeling including the E-WorkBook Suite for the capture, analysis, searching, and reporting of experimental data. The firm will become part of Danaher's life sciences business, which includes Sciex, Phenomenex, Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, Pall, Leica Microsystems, and Molecular Devices.
Additional terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"IDBS' informatics solutions integrate insights derived using scientific instruments from various vendors and from many different disciplines, enabling better and faster scientific and business decisions ultimately affording patients faster and better therapies," Danaher Executive Vice President Rainer Blair said in a statement. "IDBS opens a new generation of vendor agnostic information-based digital services for Danaher."
