Compendia and Ingenuity Integrate Tools for Cancer Biomarker Research

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) — Compendia Bioscience and Ingenuity Systems have integrated their data and pathway-analysis tools for use in cancer research, Compendia said today.
Compendia’s Oncomine Professional is a store of transcriptome profiles with analysis functions and a web application for data mining and visualization.
Ingenuity’s Pathways Analysis software allows researchers to find “mechanisms, pathways and functions” of data sets or genes, Compendia said.
The company said the integrated products will enable researchers to discover and validate biomarkers for cancer.
Financial terms of the agreement were not released.
