Colorado Hospital Taps UniConnects LIS to Automate Lab Activities

Premium

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – UniConnect said this week that Children's Hospital Colorado's molecular diagnostics laboratory has deployed its Precision Molecular Diagnostics (PMDx) laboratory information system.

UniConnect's software will be integrated with the hospital's existing infrastructure and used to automate laboratory processes from sample submission through to final report, the company said.

The Children's Hospital Colorado chose UniConnect's PMDx after evaluating multiple options because of the company's expertise in helping molecular diagnostics labs automate their activities and reduce turnaround times and error rates. Qi Wei, director of the hospital's molecular diagnostics laboratory, said in a statement that the new system will support ongoing efforts to raise the standards of pediatric care at the hospital.

Financial and other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
