BioTools Gets Financing


EDMONTON, Alberta--BioTools announced that it secured a round of financing from private investment group Western New Ventures Capital. The University of Alberta spinoff, which was incorporated in 1996, said the funding would allow it to accelerate development and market entry of PepTool and GeneTool, its protein and DNA sequence analysis software products. BioTools said it would also be expanding its laboratory division.
