SRI International has released version 9.1 of the BioCyc databases at The latest version includes 10,747 peer-reviewed publications references in the EcoCyc database; 62 new pathways in MetaCyc, bringing the total to 601 pathways from 456 organisms; and an updated pathway genome database for Bacillus anthracis Ames to include the plasmids PX01 and PX02, and 24 proteins that were assigned to the secretome.

In addition, CAS and FIZ Karlsruhe have released STN AnaVist, a new software package for analyzing and viewing information found in scientific literature and patents.
