BC Platforms to Provide Data Management, Analysis Services to Monash University

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – BC Platforms announced today that it has signed on Australia's Monash University as a customer for its genomic and clinical data management and analysis services.

Under the terms of the deal, BC Platforms will provide Monash with access to its core suite of tools including ones for statistical analysis, variant interpretation, and data sharing. The company will also provide support for a large-scale, international clinical trial being run by Monash and the Berman Centre for Outcomes and Clinical Research investigating the effect of daily low-dose aspirin on the quality of life of elderly individuals.

Additional terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.

"We are pleased to welcome Monash University as a customer in our global network of leading research units," Nino da Silva, executive vice president of sales and marketing at BC Platforms, said in a statement. "Our primary goal is to deliver a platform to the university that will provide researchers worldwide with timely and easy-to-access large-scale data sets in order to bring clinical benefits to patients."
