Base4 Becomes Exclusive Vendor of Open Text's Livelink R&D Technology


TORONTO--Base4 Bioinfor-matics announced that it has signed an agreement with Open Text to be the exclusive vendor of Open Text's Livelink technology to the Canadian and US R&D divisions of companies in the pharmaceutical sector. This technology is incorporated in Base4's PharMatrix software suite for pharmaceutical R&D project management. "The international, collaborative, high risk, and long time-frame characteristics of modern drug discovery have made electronic project management essential," said Martin Sumner-Smith, president of Base4. Base4 will maintain non-exclusive sales rights to all other companies and organizations in its target market.
