Incyte Genomics of Palo Alto, Calif., has appointed Barry Ariko, chairman and chief executive officer of Extricity Software, to its board of directors.
Prior to joining Extricity, Ariko held executive-level positions at America Online, Netscape, Oracle, and Tandem Computers.
GeneFormatics of San Diego, Calif., has named Stephen Anderson chief technology officer and has hired Anthony Kossiakoff to lead the company’s efforts to develop an X-ray crystallography program.
Prior to joining GeneFormatics, Anderson served as an associate professor and chair of the department of molecular biology and biochemistry at Rutgers University and was a co-founder of Structure Function Genomics, which recently merged with GeneFormatics.
Kossiakoff is currently chairman of the department of biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Chicago and co-director of the Institute for Biophysical Dynamics.
