Ayers is Genomica's New CEO, Marr Still Presides


BOULDER, Colo.--Teresa Ayers is the new CEO at Genomica, a pharmacogenomics software company. She will work together with Thomas Marr, who continues as president, chief scientist, and director of Genomica. Ayers had been president and chief executive officer of BioStar, a manufacturer and marketer of in vitro human diagnostic tests. Before that, she was chief financial officer of CytRx, a publicly traded biotech company; Biopool, a publicly traded human diagnostic business; and Plasti-Line, a publicly traded signage firm. Genomica was founded by Marr in 1996 as a way to market the tools he and his team developed at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in New York.
