NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Aperiomics and ResourcePath said today that they have entered into a strategic partnership to combine Aperiomics' data-analysis and bioinformatics technologies with ResourcePath's next-generation sequencing services for pathogen testing.
The companies share space in Sterling, Virginia. ResourcePath, founded by pathologists, is a CLIA-accredited laboratory that provides rapid, tailored genome sequencing for research and clinical customers. Aperiomics combines genomics and informatics to test for infectious disease more rapidly than culture-based or some molecular methods.
Aperiomics said that it will launch a new sales and marketing campaign in January focusing on tick-borne disease such as Lyme disease, boosted by the new relationship with ResourcePath, and supported by the recent addition of new staff members.
"I am excited to announce the strategic relationship Aperiomics has formed with ResourcePath," Aperiomics CEO Crystal Icenhour said in a statement. "This relationship brings valuable infrastructure and expertise to both companies, strengthening each in our respective markets. Ultimately, both companies will make valuable contributions to public and clinical health."
