Annai, Hitachi to Co-develop Genomic Data Analysis and Management Solutions

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb) – Annai Systems said today that it is working with Hitachi Data Systems to provide an integrated data management and analysis system that combines Hitachi's high-performance compute and cloud-based solutions and the Annai-GNOS data management software platform.

Under the terms of the agreement, Annai will offer various products and services, underpinned by the Hitachi Content Platform, that will provide cancer researchers with access to large genomic datasets in a scalable environment and enable them better use the data in their projects.

"We are excited to be working with the Hitachi Data Systems team to take advantage of the synergies that our products and technologies will bring to bear on the data-related challenges of cancer research," Annai CEO Michael Penley said in a statement.

Annai said that the combined product will be available later this year. Financial and other terms of the agreement were not disclosed
