AlphaGene Puts cDNA Data on

OAKLAND, Calif.--Pangea Systems said it has signed a deal with functional genomics company AlphaGene in Woburn, Mass., that will make AlphaGene’s proprietary cDNA sequence data available on Pangea’s new bioinformatics web portal, Users will be able to license directly on the web full-length clones from AlphaGene’s libraries and discover novel genes from known expressed-sequence tags by accessing AlphaGene’s proprietary database.

DoubleTwist uses automated search agents to seek out and interpret data based on users’ scientific questions. Under development since the summer, the site is being beta tested at Stanford University and is expected to be commercially launched in January.
