NEW YORK – BGI said on Thursday that it has opened an emergency coronavirus testing laboratory in Wuhan with a number of partners that began trial operations this week.

The Huo-Yan or "Fire Eye" laboratory, which is designed to test 10,000 samples per day for 2019-nCoV, was jointly established by the Wuhan municipal government, Wuhan East Lake High-Tech Development Zone, CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Company, Shanghai Nori Laboratory Equipment, and BGI.
