Grocer Gives TGen $685K for Breast Cancer Research | GenomeWeb

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – The Translational Genomics Research Institute today said that it has received a gift of $685,236 from the supermarket chain Safeway for its breast cancer research programs.

TGen said that the award was over one-third more than the $500,000 it received from Safeway last year.

The grocery store chain raised the money through a month-long campaign at its stores throughout Arizona in October 2008.
