USPTO Allows Claims in Regulus Patent Application on miR-155


Regulus Therapeutics said this week that the US Patent and Trademark Office has allowed claims in a US patent application relating to human microRNA-155, a potential target for immuno-inflammatory disorders and part of a lead program in the company's collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline.

The claims also cover sequences of miR-155, as well as compounds that are complementary to the miRNA, Regulus said.
