Takara Bio to Distribute Exiqon Products in Asia

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Takara Bio will distribute Exiqon's miRCURY LNA products in Asia beginning in January 2013, Exiqon announced today.

Takara will market the microRNA research tools in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, and India. It also will launch research services in the region using Exiqon's products in December 2012.

"Asia is an important growth market where we expect customers will benefit from our combined efforts with Takara Bio to meet customer demand for high-quality research products," Henrik Pfundheller, SVP of sales and marketing for Exiqon, said in a statement.

Financial and other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
