Exiqon, MultiD Ink Deal to Provide miRNA qPCR Analysis Solution

Exiqon has signed a development and distribution deal with MultiD Analyses to adapt MultiD's GenEx qPCR analysis software for Exiqon's new microRNA qPCR platform, the companies said this week.

Exiqon said the deal allows it to sell a fully compatible and comprehensive miRNA qPRC data-analysis solution.

The partnership between the companies has resulted in "a customized version" of GenEx, which "has been specifically adapted to allow easy pre-processing and analysis of data from the Exiqon microRNA PCR panels and assays," Exiqon Vice President of sales and marketing Henrik Pfundheller said in a statement.

In addition, MultiD has developed a special plate design module that enables Exiqon's customers "to design their qPCR experiment in silico and generate templates for import into their real-time PCR instrument," MultiD Chairman Mikael Kubista said. "These templates also allow fast and easy import of the results into GenEx for pre-processing and analysis."

Specific terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.
