NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Life Technologies today said that the US Federal Bureau of Investigation has approved the company's GlobalFiler Express Kit for use by laboratories generating DNA profiles to be included in the National DNA Index System (NDIS) Codex Database.

The forensic database facilitates the electronic comparison and exchange of DNA profiles between local, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and forensic labs. NDIS manages the database.
