The US Food and Drug Administration has approved as a 510(k) PerkinElmer’s NeoGram Amino Acids and Acylcarnitines Tandem Mass Spectrometry Kit, which will be used to screen newborns for certain metabolic disorders. The test can screen “more than 40” disease markers with one sample, PerkinElmer said.
