NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Spanish personalized medicine company BlackBio has raised €3 million ($4.1 million) through private and public funding, it announced on Thursday.
The funds will be used to continue development of diagnostic tools and international expansion, it said. Investors in the round include Inibsa Laboratories and NanoBiz.
The company, based in Madrid, Spain, develops products based on genetics, genomics, and proteomics and among products it has available is its BlackZyme DNA Polymerase for DNA amplification and a diagnostic test for fungal infections.
