Ridge Dx Lands NC Biotech Loan

NEW YORK (GenomeWeb News) – Ridge Diagnostics has received a $202,500 loan from the North Carolina Biotechnology Center to develop its lab in Research Triangle Park, NC.

The company is developing its CLIA-certified lab in preparation of the launch of its diagnostic test for major depressive disorder. The multi-analyte blood test was developed to diagnose clinical depression and to monitor therapy by providing information associated with physiological changes that are caused by the condition.

The loan was made under the center's Strategic Growth Program, which is aimed at supporting NC-based biotech startups.

The company, which has administrative offices in San Diego, plans to develop a program of neurospsychiatric disease diagnostics.
