Qiagen last week released its BioSprint sample-preparation workstations and kits. The platform, which uses magnetic-particle technology, automates the simultaneous preparation of as many as to 15 or 96 samples. The first kit available in the “expanding range” enables researchers to purify genomic DNA from cells, tissue, and blood.
