PGxHealth, a division of Clinical Data, announced this week the launch of its new genetic test for arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy, an inherited and often fatal heart condition.
The ARVC test is based on Clinical Data’s Familion brand of tests.
In 2006 joint guidelines, the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, and the European Society of Cardiology supported genetic testing for patients and family members suspected of carrying mutations linked to ARVC. According to Clinical Data, the Familion ARVC Test sequences the five genes most commonly associated with ARVC.
