Scott Gottlieb, former FDA deputy commissioner, has joined the board of directors of CombiMatrix. Gottlieb is currently a resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and also serves as an attending physician at Stamford Hospital.


Qiagen has hired Tom Clement as vice president of regulatory and clinical affairs. He joins the firm from Roche Molecular Systems, where he was vice president of quality and regulatory. He has also held positions at Organon Teknika, Amersham, Biotech Research Laboratories, and elsewhere.
