Kimberly Popovits has taken the CEO position at Genomic Health, and she will maintain her position as company president. Popovits will give up her position as company COO, a job that will be filled by Bradley Cole, who also will continue to serve in his role as chief financial officer.
Popovits takes over the CEO role from Randy Scott, who will continue in his role as chairman of the firm.
Popovitz has been president and COO of the company since 2002, and before that she worked at Genentech as a senior vice president of marketing and sales. Cole has been at the company since 2004 as executive VP and CFO, and he previously worked at Guidant Corporation and at Applied Biosystems.
Agendia has appointed Kurt Schmidt to serve as CFO, a position he will take over from John de Die. Schmidt previously was operations director at B2eMarkets, and he was director of finance and operations at LA Gear Europe.
llumina has tapped Bill Bonnar to serve as senior vice president of operations, a new position in which he will oversee the company's global manufacturing and supply chain efforts. Bonnar formerly was VP of operations at KLA-Tencor's Reticle and Photomask Inspection and Ebeam divisions. He also worked at Proctor and Gamble as a production manager and controls engineer.
Gentris Clinical Genetics has named Dawn Bordeaux chief operating officer, Scott Clark chief scientific officer, and Suzanne Phillips VP of scientific operations. Bordeaux previously was VP of quality assurance and finance, Clark was VP of scientific operations, and Phillips was senior director of research and development.
